On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, Short Sentence is launching its Summer 2025 capsule collection under the motto “Celebrate Everyday”. The brand hopes to capture the subtle poetry of “nothing happens”, the light that lurks in the mundane, the celebration of life in its truest form.
The collection is inspired by Irreecha, a grand African festival, which is a farewell to the rainy season, a longing for new life, and a response to nature, faith and collective memory. The 2025 Summer Capsule Collection continues the brand’s signature loose aesthetic and warm narrative, with rich earthy colors as the base, and a blend of knitting, embroidery and other crafts, weaving the rhythms of nature into the fabrics. Each piece is like an invitation to life, inviting people to immerse themselves in the free, vibrant and full of life atmosphere of summer. Clothing is not just something to wear, but also an attitude that makes even the most ordinary day as bright as a festival.
At the same time, the brand extends this concept to the art field by creating an immersive installation. The space is inspired by the reverence for natural deities and ancestors in African art, with half-human, half-animal sculptures and abstract human silhouettes, metaphorically symbolizing the symbiotic relationship between humans and all living things. The conical thatched roofs of the Simba tribe and the coral stone buildings along the East African coast are intertwined with Arabian and African elements; the geometric patterns on the walls and the bright tones of the colorful houses in South Africa jointly construct a totem of collective memory. The symbols of the sun and the earth run through the clothing and space, condensing the dialogue between man and nature.
